Construction of Double Page Spread:
Layout for New document - I started by producing my double page spread in theprogram “InDesign”. First I opened up a new document then to getdouble page I added three pages.
Rule of Thirds:
Once I placed the image, which I saved in my documents I used the rulers as a guideline to divide my pages into thirds. This is important to place my components within the ruled lines to keep it organised and neat when adding in my components and titles.
Adding in components:

I decided to add a small square box at the top of my page which has writing underneath it. This related back to my research but also added weight to the area, which distributed the reader's attention equally across the page.

I did this by selecting the square box tool and selecting it to the size I wanted. After that I was able to change the colour of the box by using the colour replicate tool and grabbed the colour from the background image and then filled the box.

After that, I added in the writing below it by using the "Text" tool. I was able to change the style of "Woman who rock 2015" by using the style text box which let me change the font, stroke and height of the text. I then changed the colour of the text to make it stand out more off the dark background this. I done this by selecting the text box and highlighting the words, then the colour box appeared and I selected the "T" sign and changed the colour to white.

How I added in smaller images:

I wanted more then one image on my double page spread so I edited two pictures. One from a saree photo shoot and another from when the model is wearing western clothing. I then placed these two images into the document by converting them into "JPEG" files and the changing the scale so that they fit the page.

Scaling the image:
Anchoring Text:
I done this so that I could add text that I dragged around the models arm so I the writing could neatly be written across the page around her arm so that the text box is not square but consistent with the image.

Feather adjustment:
I added a diffused feather to my title "Star of 2015" because I wanted the rich gold to blend in with the style on the background.

I made a quick video for my three new improved products: front cover, contents and double page spread. It shows the stages of my products developing.
