Double Page Analysis One:

Image: The image used in this double page spread is a medium close up of the artist Adele. She takes up the whole of one side with her hair overlapping into the next page. The light is clearly reflected in one side of her face giving a contrast of light and dark, which emphasizes her dominating and powerful look. It is important that the picture is taken at a wider angle so that the background behind the model continues across both pages. Furthermore, the only colours in this double page spread is black, white and a grey shade. This makes it look sophisticated and edgy to suit the model, but the bold black is used to highlight the text and make it stand out as important.

Layout: This image clearly uses rules of thirds as the text and the title fits into the rulers so the layout is more organised and doesn't cluster together because the words do not float.

Text: The title stands out clearly on the page which adds the right amount of attention on both the text and the image. I like the way the title takes up nearly two thirds of the page and suits the overall house style. Here, serif font is used and the words have a thick stroke to make it seem bolder. The text goes down one side of the page around the image, which is how I will layout my text to.
