Props List and equiptment:

For my Music Video, I needed to use some props which I haven taken pictures of. The props are useful as they enhance my visuals and help aid the symbolism I have within my song.

Glass:

Letters and pictures:

Flowers and Fire:

Dolly:

Camera and Tripod:

Green screen:

Within my music video there will be a slow motion shot of a glass smashing either against the wall or to the ground. I will try to take this same shot from different angles and levels, to accomplish a better effect. However, I will need to try smashing  the glass several times, before actually filming it. The glass smashing will represant the break down of their relationship and ultimately her own self image, but towards the end of the song, I will use a reverse effect where the glass will return to its original state to symbolise how she has found strength to build herself up again.

I will create a large wall of letters and pictures which will appear within the first half of the song. This wall will display the memories of the relationship, which seems to be holding her back. So I will pan the camera across the room and transition to a close up to allow the audience a clear view of the setting. Towards the end of these scenes, when the pace of the song speeds up around the chorus, I will show the protaginist tearing down the wall of memories to highlight that she is moving on from the past.

In order to link the visuals to the lyrics of the song, I will use the prop of flowers and fire. When Leona sings, "Everything roses and fire", I will do a focus pull from flowers to a candles. The flowers and fire are significant cause they represant the the beauty and desire within their relationship. The Music Video, mixes the good with the bad in their relationship and then transitions quickly in the chorus to the person she changes to.

Dollys are useful for tracking shots where the camera can move smoothly over the surface to follow the protaginist's movement. Because I dont have an actual dolly I decided I could use a wheely chair or a wheely desktop that I had lying around the house.

The camera is obviously the most important equiptment, as I will use it to film my whole music video. To get a good quality footage I used my Nikon camera. I also used a tripod to steady my filming and make the clips look more professional.

For my first location I will have my protaginist infront of a black and then a white backdrop. I can use this by using a green screen then editing the back ground in after in premier pro. I can also you a green screen to add effects that can be acheieved during filming.
