Using Premier Pro - Step by step guide:

In order to improve my skills on Adobe Premier Pro, I made a guide on the basic steps to using the software. I took some screen shots of the simple tools you use to create a new project and export the finished product. Using premier pro can be quite simple, and at the start of the year I was able to create many creative effects through some simple tools.

Step One and Two:

When you open up the programme, a textbox appears asking whether you want to start a new project, or open up a previous project. So click on "New Prokect" to start a new document.

Make sure to name the project and where you want it to be saved, so you can easily access it later when you want to work on it again. As well as this, you can also change the format of your work, as shown by the screen shot.

Step Three:

The default screen appears with a number of different text boxes appearing around the screen. Next, to upload the files you want, go to File, Import. This will take you to your files where you can select and open the clips you want to use for your project.

The imported clip will now appear on the Premier Pro desktop, and in the source box you can select what part of the clip you want to edit and use. You can do this by using the marking in and out tool in the text box underneath your clip.

Step Four:

Then, you can then drag this new selected part of the clip into the Time Line. To look at this clip I can double click on the clip and it will appear in the programme box above the time line.

Step Five:

After all the basics are sorted out, you are ready to edit the clip if you please. You can add more clips together, add effects or even import audio clips to play along with your sequence.

Step Six:

Once you are happy with your project, you can go into File, Export. Here you can change the format of the clip, and rename your project. I choose to export and save my file in Quick Player and now my project is saved in my own documents where I can use of view it later.
