A green is a useful effect to use where you get your subject to play out the scene in front of a green sheet or screen which can later be edited out or changed to seem as if the person is somewhere else. The green screen is most commonly used for the weather where the presenter shows the audience the map which is really just a green sheet to being used in all the latest Hollywood blockbuster movies.  Through this you can transport yourself to the middle of the desert on the moon, or even falling through the sky.
